I love decorating cakes, but I've never really been good at piping beautiful flowers. I bought these tips to decorate my daughter's 13th birthday cake. They came the day before I decorated, so no time to practice, but still, these tips allowed me to make GORGEOUS flowers. The guests at her party had a hard time believing the cake was not from a bakery, and one of them actually asked if I'd make his birthday cake this February. :). You do need a good, stiff buttercream for these tips to work best. And the silicone bag was a life saver—as the cellophane ones were popping because of the stiffness of the buttercream. But I would definitely recommend these tips for home decorators!
